This Privacy Policy describes how the "QR Code Barcode Generator for Docs™ - ConvertSharp" Google Workspace™ Add-on (referred to as "the Add-on"), provided by convertsharp.com, handles your data. We strictly prioritize user privacy and enforce a minimal-scope data policy.

1. Minimal Scopes & Information We Access

The Add-on operates serverless within the Google Workspace™ environment and requests strictly the minimal OAuth scopes required for document image insertion and license verification:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documents.currentonly
    Data Access & Use: Allows the Add-on to insert generated barcode and QR code images directly into the currently active Google Doc™ at the user's cursor position. The Add-on cannot access any other documents or files in your Google Drive™.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui
    Data Access & Use: Allows the Add-on to display its native sidebar and modal dialog interface inside Google Docs™.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request
    Data Access & Use: Used to communicate directly with official LemonSqueezy API endpoints to securely verify PRO license activations.

2. Zero Access to Document Content & Personal Information

Strict Privacy Guarantee: The Add-on does NOT read, analyze, index, copy, store, or transmit your document text, private notes, comments, or Google Docs™ content under any circumstances. Image generation takes place in your browser memory, and the resulting image is inserted only when you explicitly click the insertion button.

3. Data Storage, Protection, and Transfer

  • 100% Serverless Architecture: All barcode (Code128, EAN-13, Code39, UPC, etc.) and QR code rendering logic executes locally within your client-side browser memory via HTML5 canvas and SVG. We do not store or transmit your code values to external databases or servers.
  • No Data Transfer or Sale: We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers.
  • Data Security: All API communication (such as LemonSqueezy license verification) is encrypted over standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data Retention: We do not retain or store any user document data on external servers. All temporary settings and trial counters are stored locally in Google Apps Script `PropertiesService.getUserProperties()`.
  • Data Deletion: Users can revoke access to the Add-on at any time via Google Account Security Settings.

5. Limited Use Restrictions & AI/ML Policies

"QR Code Barcode Generator for Docs™ - ConvertSharp's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google™ APIs will adhere to the Google™ API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
  • Prohibited AI/ML Model Training: User data is never used to train, tune, or improve AI/ML models.
  • Prohibited Third-Party AI/ML Transfer: No Google Workspace™ user data is transferred to third-party AI/ML providers.
