This Privacy Policy describes how the "QR Code for Google Drive™ File Sharing by ConvertSharp" Google Workspace™ Add-on (referred to as "the Add-on"), provided by convertsharp.com, handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data remains secure.

1. Information We Access and How We Use It

The Add-on operates serverless within the Google Workspace™ environment and requests only the minimum 3 OAuth scopes required for its core functionality:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email
    Data Access & Use: Reads your Google primary account email address to verify PRO subscription status and license activation.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile
    Data Access & Use: Reads basic profile information (display name) to personalize your Add-on user interface.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request
    Data Access & Use: Used to communicate directly with official PayPal REST API endpoints to securely verify payments and activate PRO licenses, as well as fetch QR code generation assets. No Google Drive™ file content or credentials are transmitted to third parties.

2. Data Storage, Protection, and Transfer

  • 100% Serverless Architecture: All processing is executed locally within your Google Apps Script™ environment. We do not maintain or operate external databases or servers to store your Google data.
  • No Data Transfer or Sale: We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer raw or aggregated Google user data to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers under any circumstances.
  • Data Protection: All data in transit is protected using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols governed by Google Workspace™ security.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data Retention: We do not store or retain any Google user data, spreadsheet contents, or email records on external servers. All data accessed during the execution of the Add-on is processed in real-time in temporary session memory and discarded immediately after processing.
  • Data Deletion: Because no user data is collected or stored externally, there is no user data to delete. Users can revoke access to the Add-on at any time via Google Security Settings.

4. Data Handling: Limited Use Restrictions & AI/ML Policies

Google API Limited Use Disclosure:

"QR Code for Google Drive™ File Sharing by ConvertSharp's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
  • Prohibited AI/ML Model Training: Raw, derived, or aggregated/anonymized Google user data is never used to train, tune, or improve AI/ML models (generalized or personalized).
  • Prohibited Third-Party AI/ML Transfer: No Google user data is transferred to third-party AI/ML providers.

5. Security

All authentication and authorization processes rely strictly on Google's native OAuth 2.0 protocol. API keys and configuration parameters are secured in server-side Script Properties inside Google Apps Script.
